Present law authorizes the police jury creating the consolidated gravity drainage districts to appoint
five commissioners of the districts.
Proposed law authorizes the governing authority of Calcasieu Parish to increase the number of board
commissioners from five to seven for their consolidated gravity drainage districts.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
