MEDICAID. Provides relative to the state medical assistance program. (8/1/19)
1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 46:460.52, relative to the state medical assistance program; to
3 provide for exemptions; to provide for technical changes; and to provide for related
4 matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 46:460.52 is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
7 ยง460.52. Exemptions
8 The provisions of this Part shall not apply to any entity contracted with the
9 Louisiana Department of Health to provide fiscal intermediary services in processing
10 claims of the any health care providers provider.

Present law provides that requirements of Medicaid managed care organizations in present
law do not apply to a contracted entity providing Medicaid fiscal intermediary services in
processing claims of healthcare providers.
Proposed law retains present law and makes technical changes.
