Present law establishes the Capital Area Groundwater Conservation District (district) composed of
the parishes of East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Pointe Coupee, West Baton Rouge, and West
Feliciana.
Proposed law adds Ascension Parish to the district.
Present law provides for 17 members on the board of commissioners for the district.
Proposed law removes the requirement for 17 members to be on the board of commissioners.
Effective August 1, 2019.
