DIGEST SB 54 Original 2019 Regular Session Mills Present law creates the Louisiana Health Works Commission and provides for 18 members. Proposed law replaces the presiding officer of the Interagency Task Force on the Future of Family Medicine or his designee with the president of the University of Louisiana System or his designee as a commission member. Present law provides for an executive committee of the commission composed of seven members. Proposed law replaces the presiding officer of the Interagency Task Force on the Future of Family Medicine or his designee with the president of the University of Louisiana System or his designee as a member of the executive committee of the commission. Present law provides for education issues for the commission to study and make recommendations to the legislature. Proposed law retains present law and adds strategies to implement a nursing articulation plan to the list of issues to be studied. Effective August 1, 2019.
