ROADS/HIGHWAYS. Designates LA 124 in Catahoula Parish as the "Lt. Col. R.V. McHale Memorial Highway". (gov sig) 1 AN ACT 2 To provide relative to state highways; to designate Louisiana Highway 124 in Catahoula 3 Parish as the "Lt. Col. R.V. McHale Memorial Highway"; and to provide for related 4 matters. 5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 6 Section 1. Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, Louisiana Highway 124 7 in Catahoula Parish is hereby designated as the "Lt. Col. R.V. McHale Memorial Highway". 8 Section 2. The Department of Transportation and Development is hereby directed 9 to erect and maintain appropriate signs of this designation provided local or private monies 10 are received by the department equal to the department's actual costs for material, 11 fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum of five 12 hundred fifty dollars per sign. 13 Section 3. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not 14 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature 15 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If 16 vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become 17 effective on the day following such approval.
