2019 Regular Session ENROLLED SENATE BILL NO. 8 BY SENATORS RISER, CORTEZ, ERDEY, FANNIN, HEWITT, LONG, PRICE AND GARY SMITH AND REPRESENTATIVE TERRY BROWN Prefiled pursuant to Article III, Section 2(A)(4)(b)(i) of the Constitution of Louisiana. 1 AN ACT 2 To provide relative to state highways; to designate Louisiana Highway 124 in Catahoula 3 Parish as the "Lt. Col. R.V. McHale Memorial Highway"; to designate a portion of 4 Louisiana Highway 167 in Grant Parish as the "Preston Hall Mosley Memorial 5 Highway"; and to provide for related matters. 6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 7 Section 1. Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, Louisiana Highway 124 8 in Catahoula Parish is hereby designated as the "Lt. Col. R.V. McHale Memorial Highway". 9 Section 2. The portion of United States Highway 167 from the Winn Parish line to 10 the village limits of Dry Prong in Grant Parish shall be hereafter known and designated as 11 the "Preston Hall Mosley Memorial Highway". 12 Section 3. The Department of Transportation and Development is hereby directed 13 to erect and maintain appropriate signs of this designation provided local or private monies 14 are received by the department equal to the department's actual costs for material, 15 fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum of five 16 hundred fifty dollars per sign. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not 2 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature 3 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If 4 vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become 5 effective on the day following such approval.
