(8/1/19) 1 AN ACT 2 To enact R.S. 13:2080.1(D), relative to the City Court of Denham Springs; to provide 3 relative to surplus filing fees and costs and unclaimed fees and costs; to authorize the 4 transfer of surplus filing fees and costs and unclaimed fees and costs into a civil fee 5 account; to provide certain terms and conditions; and to provide for related matters. 6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 7 Section 1. R.S. 13:2080.1(D) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 8 ยง2080.1. Miscellaneous city courts; fees; surplus in civil fee account 9 * * * 10 D. When a surplus of filing fees and costs or unclaimed fees and costs 11 has accumulated in the City Court of Denham Springs' civil fund, and the 12 surplus or unclaimed fees and costs have remained unclaimed for a period of 13 three years or more, the judge of the court may transfer the amount of the 14 surplus or the amount of the unclaimed fees and costs that remain unclaimed 15 after notice to the depositors by publication in the legal journal of the parish or 16 by other reasonable means, to the operating fund, known as the General Fund 17 Account, of the court.
