RÉSUMÉ DIGEST ACT 347 (SB 96) 2019 Regular Session Bishop Prior law created a political subdivision of the state known as the Gentilly Development District, in Orleans Parish. Prior law provided for the district to be governed by a six-member board of commissioners. Further provided that a majority of the members of the board shall constitute a quorum. New law retains prior law but increases the membership of the board from six to seven. New law adds the state senator who represents Senate District No. 4, or his designee to the board. Effective upon signature of the governor (June 11, 2019). (Amends R.S. 33:2740.70(D)(1))
