PHARMACISTS.  Provides relative to Board of Pharmacy member qualifications. (8/1/19)
1	AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 37:1174(A)(4), relative to Board of Pharmacy member
3 qualifications; to provide for minimum qualifications for pharmacist members of the
4 board; to provide for required experience in this state; and to provide for related
5 matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1.  R.S. 37:1174(A)(4) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 
8 ยง1174. Qualifications
9	A. Each pharmacist member of the board shall at the time of appointment:

11	(4) Have five two years of experience in the practice of pharmacy in this state
12 after licensure.

Present law requires a pharmacist member of the Board of Pharmacy to have five years of
experience in the practice of pharmacy in this state after licensure. Proposed law reduces the
years of experience from five years to two years.
Effective August 1, 2019.
