SCR 113 2019 Regular Session Gary Smith
Establishes the Public Works Contracts Task Force to study the feasibility of increasing the
contract limit applicable to public works contracts.
Provides that the task force be comprised of the following members:
(1) The president of the Senate, or his designee.
(2) The speaker of the House of Representatives, or his designee.
(3)The chairman of the Senate Committee on Transportation, Highways and Public
Works, or another member of the committee designated by the chair.
(4)The chairman of the House Committee on Transportation, Highways and Public
Works, or another member of the committee designated by the chair.
(5)The executive director of the office of facility planning and control within the
division of administration, or his designee.
(6)A representative of the La. Associated General Contractors, Inc.
(7)A representative of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. La. Chapter.
(8) A representative of the American Council of Engineering Companies of La., Inc.
(9)A representative of the Police Jury Association of La., Inc.
(10) A representative of the La. Municipal Association.
Requires that the task force submit a report to the chair of the house and senate committees
on transportation, highways and public works, no later than January 31, 2020.
Provides that the task force shall terminate not later than June 1, 2020.
