A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION
To commend Richard E. Zuschlag upon being inducted into the Louisiana Political Hall of
Fame.
WHEREAS, Richard Zuschlag founded Acadian Companies in 1971 and serves as
the chairman and chief executive officer; and
WHEREAS, he was instrumental in developing the Lafayette Parish 911 system
during his service on the Bush-Clinton Recovery Fund Committee; and
WHEREAS, Zuschlag has served his community through his tenure on the Lafayette
Parish Communication District, the New Orleans Business Council, the Lafayette Chamber
of Commerce, the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry, and many other
organizations; and
WHEREAS, he has also spearheaded fundraising efforts for many local and national
organizations resulting in great improvements to his community; and
WHEREAS, Richard has been blessed with a loving wife, Elaine, three children, and
six grandchildren.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
commend Richard E. Zuschlag upon his induction into the Louisiana Political Hall of Fame.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Richard E. Zuschlag.
