SENATE CONCURRENT RESOL UTION NO. 87
BY SENATORS WARD AND PRICE AND REPRESENTATIVES JORDAN AND

A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION
To commend the Brusly High School Lady Panthers softball team on winning the 2019
Allstate Sugar Bowl/Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class 3A softball
state championship.
WHEREAS, the Brusly High School Lady Panthers softball team completed a
sensational season, earning the title of 2019 Class 3A state champions; and
WHEREAS, the Lady Panthers had an outstanding season with a 35-2 record in the
regular season and an undefeated district record; and
WHEREAS, the Lady Panthers softball team defeated the Caldwell Parish High
School softball team with a score of 3-2 in the state championship title game; and
WHEREAS, the members of this outstanding varsity team include Britt Bourgoyne,
Jordyn Patrick, Claire Suter, Saylor Young, Bailey Richardson, Baylee Weems,
Bailey Wunstel, Kameryn Adkins, Savannah Bezet, Bella Hymel, Ella Dupont,
Caroline Gassie, Maddie Becker, Haley Leray, Haley Joffrion, Mary-Cathryn Comeaux,
Angel Bradford, and manager Jeanette Coco; and 
WHEREAS, Head Coach Beau Bouvier, along with assistant coaches,
Julie Mayeaux, Jory Comeaux, and Lanesha Taylor, has instilled in these young athletes the
winning attitude necessary to become exceptional softball players, accomplished academics,
and outstanding members of the community, and together through their combined efforts,
they succeeded in capturing the Class 3A title.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
commend the Brusly High School Lady Panthers softball team and coaches upon winning
the 2019 Allstate Sugar Bowl/Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class 3A state
championship.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Head Coach Beau Bouvier.
