SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 101

SENATE. Commends Ronnie Mains for service to his community.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To commend Ronnie Mains for service to his community.
3 WHEREAS, Ronnie Mains is the owner of CRC Global Solutions, a transportation
4 management company in Kenner, Louisiana, and in 2017, he was named a member of the
5 Port of New Orleans Economic Development Task Force; and
6 WHEREAS, Mr. Mains makes giving back to his community a top priority; CRC's
7 We Care! We Share! is a reflection of that, a nonprofit corporation proudly working with
8 organizations such as the American Cancer Society, National Leukemia Society, New
9 Orleans Blood Bank, and Relay for Life; and
10 WHEREAS, Mr. Mains is an advocate for individuals with autism, including one of
11 CRC's outstanding employees, Seth Bode; CRC Global Solutions hosted an event
12 recognizing World Autism Awareness Day on April 2, 2019, in Kenner, Louisiana; and
13 WHEREAS, April is National Autism Awareness Month, the aim of which is to
14 educate the public about autism or autism spectrum disorder, which refers to a broad range
15 of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, and speech
16 and nonverbal communication; and
17 WHEREAS, thirty-five percent of young adults aged nineteen to twenty-three
18 diagnosed with autism are not employed and are eager and excited to work, but struggle to

1 fit into a hiring and recruitment process that is fundamentally social; and
2 WHEREAS, an increased number of organizations are establishing hiring and
3 recruiting campaigns with the large population of potential employees in mind; there is a
4 need for more employers to update their hiring processes and training programs to include
5 autistic employees, as well as to raise awareness of autism; and
6 WHEREAS, hiring a diverse workforce, including those with autism, offers benefits
7 to organizations and those individuals who might otherwise be overlooked.
8 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
9 does hereby commend Ronnie Mains for service to his community; does hereby wish
10 Mr. Mains continued success at CRC Global Solutions and in his advocacy and charitable
11 work which has a lasting impact on the city of Kenner, its citizens, and the state of
12 Louisiana.
13 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
14 Mr. Ronnie Mains at CRC Global Systems.
