SPECIAL DAY/WEEK/MONTH. Designates Monday, May 6, 2019, as Louisiana CPA
Day at the state capitol.

2 To designate Monday, May 6, 2019, as Louisiana CPA Day at the state capitol.
3 WHEREAS, the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA) is the
4 state's premier association of accounting professionals; and
5 WHEREAS, the LCPA was organized in 1911 and represents approximately six
6 thousand CPAs in public practice, industry, government, and education; and
7 WHEREAS, the mission of the LCPA is to serve the common needs of its members
8 and to enhance the profession; and
9 WHEREAS, the organization is committed to improving members' abilities and to
10 enhancing their sense of professionalism, advocating their causes in government, and
11 promoting their services to the public; and
12 WHEREAS, the LCPA preserves the integrity of the CPA profession by ensuring
13 their voices are heard; and
14 WHEREAS, the LCPA is proud to support its members by providing technical,
15 professional, and educational tools; and
16 WHEREAS, the LCPA also provides educational materials designed to enhance the
17 financial literacy of the public.
18 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
