SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 112

A RESOLUTION
To designate Monday, May 6, 2019, as Louisiana CPA Day at the state capitol.
WHEREAS, the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA) is the
state's premier association of accounting professionals; and
WHEREAS, the LCPA was organized in 1911 and represents approximately six
thousand CPAs in public practice, industry, government, and education; and
WHEREAS, the mission of the LCPA is to serve the common needs of its members
and to enhance the profession; and
WHEREAS, the organization is committed to improving members' abilities and to
enhancing their sense of professionalism, advocating their causes in government, and
promoting their services to the public; and
WHEREAS, the LCPA preserves the integrity of the CPA profession by ensuring
their voices are heard; and
WHEREAS, the LCPA is proud to support its members by providing technical,
professional, and educational tools; and
WHEREAS, the LCPA also provides educational materials designed to enhance the
financial literacy of the public.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby designate Monday, May 6, 2019, as Louisiana CPA Day at the state capitol.
