SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 137

COMMENDATIONS. Commends Brianne Joseph on her success as a private investigator
and on founding the state's only all-female private investigation agency.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To commend Brianne Joseph on her groundbreaking business, Sly Fox Investigations,
3 L.L.C., an all-female detective agency known for setting the standard for excellence
4 in surveillance.
5 WHEREAS, Brianne Joseph is a licensed private investigator and the owner and
6 primary investigator of Sly Fox Investigations, the only all-female private investigations
7 agency in Louisiana; and
8 WHEREAS, when Ms. Joseph first became a private investigator she noticed that the
9 profession was a largely male-dominated industry and she decided to encourage other
10 women to become private investigators; and
11 WHEREAS, recognizing the continuing shortage of female private investigators and
12 believing that women have a natural skill set for uncovering information, Brianne Joseph
13 decided to develop Sly Fox Investigations, an all-female company; and
14 WHEREAS, Ms. Joseph has been a successful licensed private investigator for
15 thirteen years and as the owner of the state's only all-female private investigation agency she
16 has been interviewed on radio and television, including an appearance on the show, Get
17 Legal; and
18 WHEREAS, this spring, Brianne Joseph was selected to be a recipient of the

1 Louisiana State University (LSU) "Esprit de Femme" award, given by the LSU Women's
2 Center and awarded annually since 2009; and
3 WHEREAS, the award is an acknowledgment of a person who has made exceptional
4 efforts toward the advancement of women in Louisiana and honors individuals who elevate
5 the status of women in the community through their contributions to the arts, education,
6 healthcare, business and industry, volunteer work, and civic engagement; and
7 WHEREAS, Ms. Joseph and Sly Fox Investigations have prospered through hard
8 work and attention to their clients, while setting the standard for excellence and becoming
9 one of the most sought after agencies in the state; and
10 WHEREAS, Sly Fox Investigations serves the entire state of Louisiana and
11 neighboring areas of Mississippi working, primarily, in the areas of worker's compensation
12 fraud, child custody cases, and insurance fraud; and
13 WHEREAS, Brianne Joseph, as both a pioneering entrepreneur, in founding Sly Fox
14 Investigations, L.L.C. and an exceptional licensed private investigator, has advanced the role
15 of women in a single profession and, at the same time, she has built a successful business
16 enterprise in Louisiana.
17 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
18 does hereby commend Brianne Joseph on her groundbreaking business, Sly Fox
19 Investigations, L.L.C., an all-female detective agency, known for setting the standard for
20 excellence in surveillance.
21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
22 Brianne Joseph at Sly Fox Investigations, L.L.C.
