Webb. 1 A RESOLUTION 2 To express sincere and heartfelt condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana 3 upon the death of Garland W. Webb. 4 WHEREAS, it is with deep regrets and profound sorrow that the citizens of 5 Louisiana learned that Garland W. Webb, at the age of seventy-eight, entered peacefully into 6 eternal rest on April 2, 2019; and 7 WHEREAS, Garland W. Webb, a native of Calhoun, LA and a lifelong resident of 8 Central served over forty years with the American Federation of State, County, and 9 Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Louisiana Council No. 17 as a staff representative or the 10 President; and 11 WHEREAS, in 2010 Garland W. Webb was inducted into the Louisiana AFL-CIO 12 Hall of Fame while serving as a member of the Board of Review of the Louisiana Work 13 Force Commission; and 14 WHEREAS, Garland W. Webb is survived by a son, Carter Webb; daughter, Stacey 15 Webb McKinnie (Randy); two stepdaughters, Tammy S. Meador (Pam) and Terri Parnell- 16 Allison (Greg); a stepson, Randy Meador (Eleanor); nine grandchildren and seven great- 17 grandchildren who will greatly miss their "Gee", yet "live on" as he told them to do when 18 the time comes for him to leave them. Webb upon his passing. 4 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the 5 family of Garland W. Webb.
