Proposed Senate rule provides that a former senator may be designated or referred to as "Senator
Retired, District No." followed by the number of the Senatorial District represented. Defines "former
senator" as a former senator who served in the Senate and, because of this service, was prohibited
by Article III, Section 4(E) of the La. Constitution from being elected to the Senate.
