ENROLLED 2020 First Extraordinary Session HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 44 BY REPRESENTATIVE JEFFERSON A RESOLUTION To express the condolences of the House of Representatives upon the death, on June 11, 2020, of Louis Walker Stacks. WHEREAS, Louis was born on February 26, 1950, in McComb, Mississippi, to B.L. and Sarah Walker Stacks; and WHEREAS, Louis was a devoted public servant who spent forty years working for the division of probation and parole in the Department of Public Safety and Corrections; he began his career as an agent and retired in 2020 as a regional director for the division; and WHEREAS, Louis was deeply committed to his family and enjoyed cooking and family gatherings; and WHEREAS, Louis is survived by his sister, Sarah Harmon, and her husband Jimmy; brother-in-law, Douglas Carpenter; nieces, Trudy Hays, and her husband Clayton, and Nancy Blanchard; nephew, Seth Harmon, and his wife Jessica; five great-nieces; and two great- nephews; and WHEREAS, Louis will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby express heartfelt condolences upon the death of Louis Walker Stacks; does hereby offer genuine gratitude for Louis's four decades of service to the state of Louisiana; and does hereby extend sincere hopes and wishes that his family find comfort during this incredibly difficult time.
