HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 64
BY REPRESENTATIVES KERNER, CORMIER, GREEN, HENRY, HILFERTY, ILLG,
LYONS, MARINO, STAGNI, THOMAS, THOMPSON, AND VILLIO
A RESOLUTION
To commend Terry Alario, Sr. and Terry Alario, Jr. upon their induction into Northwestern
State University's N-Club Hall of Fame, Class of 2020.
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to commend Terry Alario, Sr. and Terry Alario, Jr.
upon their induction into Northwestern State Univeristy's N-Club Hall of Fame and to
recognize their athletic achievements and contributions to the university and its athletic
program; and
WHEREAS, Terry Alario, Sr. and Terry Alario, Jr. hold the distinction of being the
first father and son pair in Northwestern State University (NSU) baseball history; and
WHEREAS, Terry Alario, Sr. was a pitcher on the NSU baseball team from 1966
until 1969, was named captain during his senior year, and was a member of NSU's 1967 Gulf
South Conference championship team which made the school's first appearance in a National
Collegiate Athletic Association regional tournament; prior to attending NSU, he was a
four-sport letterman at West Jefferson High School; and
WHEREAS, Terry Alario, Jr. lettered as a catcher at NSU in 1993 and 1994, when
NSU won the Southland Conference championships in back-to-back seasons; prior to
college, he attended John Curtis Christian High School, where he was an All-District catcher
on the 1990 state prep championship team, and his American Legion team was a Southeast
Louisiana title winner; and
WHEREAS, the Alarios, both of whom wore jersey number 22 as NSU Demons, are
diehard supporters of NSU athletics, created the Alario 22 Scholarship for the NSU baseball
program, and continue to lend financial support and actively promote Demon athletics
throughout Louisiana; and

WHEREAS, in addition to being named to the Hall of Fame, the Alarios are
receiving the N-Club's Distinguished Service Award; and
WHEREAS, Terry Alario, Sr. and Terry Alario, Jr. merit a special measure of
commendation for the pride and honor that they bring to their families, friends, and
community, Northwestern State University, and the state of Louisiana.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Terry Alario, Sr. and Terry Alario, Jr. upon
their induction into Northwestern State University's N-Club Hall of Fame, Class of 2020,
and does hereby extend to them best wishes for continued success in their future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Terry
Alario, Sr. and Terry Alario, Jr.
