CONDOLENCES. Expresses condolences upon the death of two-year old Azariah Christien
Thomas.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the
3 death of two-year-old Azariah Christien Thomas.
4 WHEREAS, it is with deep regret and profound sorrow that the members of the
5 Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana have learned of the death of Azariah Christien
6 Thomas, age two, on October 15, 2020; and
7 WHEREAS, Azariah Christien Thomas was born on July 4, 2018, in Baton Rouge,
8 Louisiana; and
9 WHEREAS, he is survived by his father, Vincent Hutchinson Jr. and fiancé, Lacuria
10 Warner; his mother, Lo'Quishia Thomas; grandparents, Vincent and Carol Hutchinson;
11 great-grandfather, Lindbergh Kaglear; great-grandmother, Geraldine Hutchinson; uncles,
12 Lindbergh (April) Williams, Bryant (Ashley) Kaglear, and Brandon Hutchinson; aunts,
13 Beverly (Courtland) Bassett, Atiyeah Hutchinson, and Destiny Barrow; cousins, Adriana and
14 Lindbergh Williams II, Courtland Jr., Connor and Charlee Bassett, and his best bud, Jordan
15 Lee Kaglear; great-uncle, Michael Hutchinson; great-aunts, Shelia (Donald) Tezano, Sheron
16 (Ronald) Norman, Jackie (Edward) Williams, and Beverly Ann Harris; and
17 WHEREAS, the tragic loss of Azariah Christien Thomas is magnified by the fact that
18 we are only left to imagine the contributions he might have made to the world that he left

1 so soon; and
2 WHEREAS, the loss of Azariah Christien Thomas has left a tremendous void in his
3 family and community and has created a genuine sense of sorrow in the hearts of the many
4 lives he touched in his short but meaningful two years of life.
5 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
6 does hereby express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of two-year old
7 Azariah Christien Thomas and does hereby recognize and record for posterity the wonderful
8 blessing that he was in the lives of his family and friends.
9 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to his
10 parents, Vincent Hutchinson Jr. and Lo'Quishia Thomas.
