Abstract: Provides for the termination date of the Louisiana Small Business and Entrepreneurship
Council.
Present law provides that the Louisiana Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council (LSBEC) shall
identify issues pertinent to the operations of small businesses and advise the Department of
Economic Development and the governor on issues affecting the competitiveness of small businesses
in the state, ensure coordination of small business support between federal, state, and local agencies,
and advise the department and the governor on polices and programs that make small businesses
more competitive.
Further, present law provides that the LSBEC shall terminate on June 30, 2022.
Proposed law changes the termination date to June 30, 2023.
Effective upon signature of governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
