Abstract: Requires that first aid training for public school employees cover the use of tourniquets.
Present law requires each local public school board to adopt a policy to require that each school
employee who participates in any required in-service training program receive first aid orientation
and training. Proposed law requires that first aid orientation and training pursuant to present law
include training on the use of tourniquets.
