Abstract: Provides that the Gulf Fritillary butterfly (Agraulis vanillae) shall be the official state
butterfly.
Proposed law provides that the state of La. shall have an official state butterfly and that official state
butterfly shall be the Gulf Fritillary butterfly, or passion butterfly (Agraulis vanillae). Authorizes
its use along with the insignia of the state.
