Abstract: Provides that expenses for the payment of overtime compensation to employees
of the secretary of state for overtime related to the conduct of early voting and the

shall be paid by the state from funds appropriated to the secretary of state for that purpose.
Proposed law retains present law and further provides that election expenses incurred by the
secretary of state for the payment of overtime compensation to his permanent employees for

voting through 11:59 p.m. on the day after election day shall be paid by the state from funds
