Holders of a retired volunteer dental license shall comply with the 13 continuing dental education requirements adopted by the board which shall include 14 cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training who practice not more than two 15 hundred fifty hours in a calendar year shall be exempt from all continuing education 16 requirements. State Board of Dentistry (LSBD) continuing education requirements. Requires retired volunteer dentists to maintain its cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training. Present law permits the La. State Board of Dentistry (LSBD) to issue a retired volunteer dentist license to an applicant whose practice consists of voluntary care, as defined by LSBD rule. Proposed law retains present law. Present law requires retired volunteer dentist licensees to comply with the continuing dental education requirements adopted by LSBD which shall include CPR training. Proposed law deletes present law and adds that a retired volunteer dentist who does not practice at least 250 hours in a calendar year shall not be required to comply with LSBD continuing education requirements. Further provides that a retired volunteer dentist shall maintain his CPR training.
