Abstract: Allows attorneys providing financial assistance to clients to be regulated as provided by
law.
Present constitution provides that the supreme court has exclusive original jurisdiction of
disciplinary proceedings against members of the bar.
Proposed constitutional amendment retains present constitution with the exception that attorneys
providing financial assistance to clients shall be regulated as provided by law.
Provides for submission of the proposed amendment to the voters at the statewide election to be held
Nov. 3, 2020.
