ACT 139 (HB 343) 2020 Regular Session Jordan
Prior law required participants of the Bail Bond Apprentice Program to have the following
qualifications:
(1)Meet the current bail bond producer licensing requirements.
(2)Not have been convicted of a felony.
New law repeals the requirement that participants not have been convicted of a felony.
New law creates an exception to new law where persons convicted of a felony that classifies
them as sexual offenders or serial sexual offenders as defined by existing law, R.S. 15:536,
are prohibited from participation.
Effective Aug. 1, 2020.
