Abstract: Provides for freestanding children's hospitals to provide newborn services at their facility.
Proposed law defines "freestanding children's hospital" for the purposes of the Hospital Licensing
Law.
Proposed law provides that hospitals, freestanding hospitals as provided for in present law, and free-
standing children's hospitals may be one of the three facilities that may provide a neonatal intensive
care unit.
