HB 394 Original 2020 Regular Session	McFarland
Abstract: Changes requirement for adopting the forest and recreational management plan
for Alexander State Forest and Indian Creek by rule under the Administrative
Procedure Act (APA) with legislative oversight to posting the plan on La.
Department of Agriculture and Forestry (LDAF) website and publishing in the
Potpourri section of the La. Register.
Present law requires the State Forestry Commission to adopt a forest and recreational
management plan for the Alexander State Forest and Indian Creak by rule under the APA
with oversight by the House and Senate Agriculture committees.
Proposed law changes present law to require the management plan be adopted and posted
to the LDAF website and published in the Potpourri section of the La. Register, instead of
adopted by rule under the APA with oversight by the House and Senate Agriculture
committees.
(Amends R.S. 3:4402(A))
