R.S. 36:204(B)(1)(a)(iv) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 7 ยง204. Powers and duties of secretary of culture, recreation and tourism 8 * * * 9 B. Present law provides that the assistant secretary of an office within the Dept. of Culture, Recreation and Tourism has the authority to employ, appoint, remove, assign, and promote personnel in his office. Proposed law gives the secretary of the department authority to take personnel actions, such as employing, appointing, and removing such personnel, within an office if there is a vacancy in the assistant secretary position of the office.
