HB 482 Original 2020 Regular Session McKnight
Abstract: Requires certain information to be included on the photo identification card issued to an
offender prior to release from incarceration.
Present law requires the Dept. of Public Safety and Corrections to identify a transition specialist at
each of the state correctional facilities who shall certain duties which include furnishing a photo
identification card to an offender prior to his release.
Proposed law retains present law and requires the identification card to include a list of all licensing
and certification programs completed by the offender while incarcerated.
