Present law provides for the Crime Victims Reparations Fund and further provides that monies in the fund that are received from the collection of unclaimed prize money as provided for in present law shall be used exclusively to pay the expenses associated with healthcare services of victims of sexually-oriented criminal offenses, including forensic medical examinations. Proposed law retains present law and further authorizes the use of such funds for the recoupment of lost earnings and the reasonable costs of administering the fund.
