RÉSUMÉ DIGEST ACT 248 (HB 6) 2020 Regular Session Gregory Miller Prior law provided that a legislative mandate for an executive branch agency to produce a report expired five years after legislative approval of the mandate. Required the producing agency to notify the legislature of the impending expiration. Authorized the standing committee with jurisdiction over the producing agency to extend a mandate for an additional five years. Provided for the first reports to expire July 1, 2019. New law repeals prior law. New law further specifies that no legislative mandate to produce a report shall expire pursuant to the provisions prior law. Effective upon signature of governor (June 11, 2020). (Repeals R.S. 49:1401)
