R.S. 17:2922.1(B)(1)(introductory paragraph) is hereby amended and 7reenacted and R.S. 17:2922.1(B)(1)(m) and (n) are hereby enacted to read as follows: 8 ยง2922.1. Dual Enrollment Framework Task Force; creation; purpose; membership; 9 definitions; reporting; termination 10 * * * 11 B.(1) The task force shall be composed of twelve fourteen members as 12 follows: 13 * * * 14 (m) The president of the Louisiana Association of Educators or his designee. 15 (n) The president of the Louisiana Federation of Teachers or his designee. 16 * * * 17 Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not 18signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature 19by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. Present law creates the Dual Enrollment Framework Task Force under the jurisdiction of the Bd. of Regents for the purpose of making recommendations for the establishment of a statewide dual enrollment framework designed to provide universal access to dual enrollment courses to all qualified public high school juniors and seniors. Present law provides that the task force is composed of 12 ex officio members or their designees: (1)The governor. (2)The commissioner of higher education. (3)The state superintendent of education. (4)The president of the State Bd. of Elementary and Secondary Education. (5)The executive director of the La. School Bds. Assoc. (6)The executive director of the La. Assoc. of School Superintendents. (7)The executive director of the La. Assoc. of Principals. (8)The president of the La. School Counselor Assoc. (9)The chairman of the College and Career Readiness Commission. (10)The president of Council for a Better La. (11)The executive director of Stand for Children La. (12)The executive director of the La. Assoc. of Public Charter Schools. Proposed law adds the presidents of the La. Assoc. of Educators and the La. Federation of Teachers, or their respective designees, to the task force. Effective upon signature of governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
