Abstract: Creates the Related Services Advisory Commission to study the level of supports
statewide for students with special needs and exceptionalities.
Proposed law:
(1)Creates the Related Services Advisory Commission to study services for students with
special needs and exceptionalities.
(2)Provides for 15 members who shall serve without compensation and for staff support by the
Autism Society of North La.
(3)Requires commission to study and make recommendations for legislation and policy
affecting the education of students with special needs and exceptionalities and to submit
reports prior to the 2021, 2022, and 2023 R.S.
(4)Provides for termination of the commission on July 1, 2023.
