Provides that Act No. 84 of the 2023 Regular Session of the Legislature shall be known and may be cited as "Armani's Law"
Prohibits the use of an appeals process for certain students who fail to pass state-administered tests required for high school graduation
Provides relative to state assessments as a requirement for student promotion and graduation (OR DECREASE GF EX See Note)
Provides for determinations for grade level promotion of certain students with exceptionalities regarding performance on state tests and provides for calculations of school performance scores relative to such students
Requests the State Bd. of Elementary and Secondary Education and the La. Developmental Disabilities Council to study issues relative to high school graduation rates for special education students
Provides that end-of-course testing shall not be required for any subject as a prerequisite to high school graduation
Provides relative to early graduation from high school including incentives for students and savings used for certain other educational purposes (RE +$5,664,314 GF EX See Note)
Provides that certain graduate students shall be exempt from mandatory student fees
Provides relative to requirements for pupil progression, graduation, and issuance of diplomas for students with exceptionalities
Relating to procedures for the alternative assessment of certain public school students that receive special education services and alternative accountability plans for certain campuses serving students that receive special education services.
