Abstract: Requires any automobile insurer to provide notice of the reasons of cancellation of an
automobile insurance policy to the Department of Public Safety and Corrections.
Proposed law requires an insurer who is canceling an insurance policy for the reasons set forth in
present law to provide reasons for the cancellation in the manner prescribed by present law for giving
notice to the secretary of public safety services of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections
for the cancellation of a policy.
