HLS 20RS-1076 ORIGINAL 2020 Regular Session HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 10 BY REPRESENTATIVE WILFORD CARTER CONDOLENCES: Expresses condolences on the death of Judge Dianne Marie Mayo 1 A RESOLUTION 2To express the condolences of the House of Representatives upon the death of Judge Dianne 3 Marie Mayo. 4 WHEREAS, Judge Dianne Marie Mayo was born on Sunday, December 8, 1957, and 5passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020, after a long and hard fought battle with cancer; 6and 7 WHEREAS, at the time of her passing, Judge Mayo was a beloved member of the 8Lake Charles community; and 9 WHEREAS, she was a true champion of the people and a fervent supporter of the 10Martinet Society and Lake Charles during her career as a city attorney, mediator, and 11workers' compensation judge; and 12 WHEREAS, with Judge Mayo's passing, the Lake Charles legal community is left 13with a void and her presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her. 14 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the 15Legislature of Louisiana does hereby offer condolences upon the passing of Judge Dianne 16Marie Mayo; does hereby express appreciation for her service to the state of Louisiana as 17a city attorney, mediator, and workers' compensation judge; and does hereby extend hopes 18and wishes that her family and friends might find comfort in knowing that she rests in peace. 19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the 20family of Judge Dianne Marie Mayo.
