HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 10

A RESOLUTION
To express the condolences of the House of Representatives upon the death of Judge Dianne
Marie Mayo.
WHEREAS, Judge Dianne Marie Mayo was born on Sunday, December 8, 1957, and
passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020, after a long and hard fought battle with cancer;
and
WHEREAS, at the time of her passing, Judge Mayo was a beloved member of the
Lake Charles community; and
WHEREAS, she was a true champion of the people and a fervent supporter of the
Martinet Society and Lake Charles during her career as a city attorney, mediator, and
workers' compensation judge; and
WHEREAS, with Judge Mayo's passing, the Lake Charles legal community is left
with a void and her presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby offer condolences upon the passing of Judge Dianne
Marie Mayo; does hereby express appreciation for her service to the state of Louisiana as
a city attorney, mediator, and workers' compensation judge; and does hereby extend hopes
and wishes that her family and friends might find comfort in knowing that she rests in peace.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
family of Judge Dianne Marie Mayo.
