Present law provides that the governing authority of each local public elementary and secondary
school shall establish salary schedules to determine the pay of teachers and all other school
employees.
Proposed law retains present law and additionally provides that salary schedules shall not include
salary limitations based on years of experience.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
