Present law requires the Dept. of Transportation and Development (DOTD) to provide a proposed
program of construction for the coming fiscal year to the Joint Highway Priority Construction
Committee by October 1st annually. Specifies that if the final construction program communicated
to the legislature contains a project that the legislature determines is not in the proper order of
priority in accordance with certain factors, that project may be deleted by the legislature.
Proposed law retains present law and makes a technical change to the appropriate citation in present
law.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
