ACT 317 (SB 312) 2020 Regular Session Fesi
Prior law provided for the Environmental Education and Reduction Act and created the La.
Environmental Education Commission and specified the membership of the commission.
Additionally provided for the environmental education and litter reduction section within the
state Department of Education (DOE) and provides for the powers, duties, and programming
of the section.
New law retains prior law and adds the governor's executive assistant for coastal activities,
or his designee, to the membership of the commission. Additionally clarifies provisions
relative to the activities of the section.
Directs the La. State Law Institute to recodify specific sections of prior law.
Effective upon signature of the governor (June 12, 2020).
