Dedicates monies in the Deepwater Horizon Economic Damages Collection Fund for certain infrastructure projects. (7/1/20) 1 AN ACT 2 To amend and reenact R.S. 39:91(B)(6), to enact R.S. 39:91(B)(5)(k) through (kk), and to 3 repeal R.S. 39:91(B)(5)(g), relative to the Deepwater Horizon Economic Damages 4 Collection Fund; to provide for the use of monies in the Deepwater Horizon 5 Economic Damages Collection Fund for certain infrastructure projects; to provide 6 for an effective date, and to provide for related matters. 7 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 8 Section 1. R.S. 39:91(B)(6) is hereby amended and reenacted, and R.S. 9 39:91(B)(5)(k) through (kk) are hereby enacted, to read as follows: 10 ยง91. Deepwater Horizon Economic Damages Collection Fund 11 * * * 12 B. SB NO. 323 SLS 20RS-582 ORIGINAL 1 including Fiscal Year 2034, in such amounts as remain after payment of amounts due 2 on bonds and related expenses as provided in the documents pursuant to which bonds 3 were issued under the provisions of this Section, the state treasurer shall immediately 4 transfer the annual payments of fifty-three million three hundred thirty-three 5 thousand three hundred thirty-three dollars to the Construction Subfund of the 6 Transportation Trust Fund. The provisions of R.S. 39:91(B)(5)(g) are hereby repealed. 26 Section 3. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2020. If vetoed by the governor 27 and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on 28 July 1, 2020.
