Present law provides relative to licensing and operating of persons who sell and distribute marine
products by the Motor Vehicle Commission.
Present law provides definitions for "Franchise" and "Marine dealer".
Proposed law deletes the words "selling agreement" from the definition of "Franchise" and changes
the word "franchise" to "selling agreement" in the definition of "Marine dealer" and in statutes where
"franchise" occurs relative to persons who sell and distribute marine products.
Effective August 1, 2020.
