1 AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 15:827.1(B)(7), relative to the release of offenders; to provide for the issuance
3 of a card to offenders being released that includes certain information regarding the
4 offender's completion of vocational licensing and certification programs; and to
5 provide for related matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. R.S. 15:827.1(B)(7) is hereby enacted to read as follows:

10 B. In compliance with the requirements of R.S. 15:827(A)(5), the department
11 shall identify a transition specialist at each of the state correctional facilities who
12 shall not necessarily be a corrections officer and whose duties shall include but not
13 be limited to:

15 (7) To the extent that funding is available, issuing a card to the offender
16 that includes a list of all vocational licensing and certification programs
17 completed by the offender while incarcerated.
