Provides for qualifications of volunteers to cyber response and recovery support efforts with the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness. (8/1/20) 1 AN ACT 2 To enact R.S. 29:735.4(E), relative to the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and 3 Emergency Preparedness; to provide for qualifications of volunteers to cyber 4 response and recovery support efforts; and to provide for related matters. 5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 6 Section 1. R.S. 29:735.4(E) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 7 ยง735.4. Registry of disaster volunteers; credentialing 8 * * * 9 E. Individuals desiring to volunteer for cyber response and recovery 10 support efforts must meet all of the following qualifications: 11 (1) Be eighteen years of age or older. 12 (2) Be a resident of the state. 13 (3) Have no criminal convictions or arrests aside from minor traffic 14 violations. 15 (4) Have A Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO) score of 620 or higher. 16 (5) Not be identified on any national criminal registry, including, but not 17 limited, the National Sex Offender Registry. Present law allows the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness to establish credentials and requirements for volunteers. Proposed law retains present law and sets all of the following qualifications for volunteers for cyber response and recovery efforts: (1)Be 18 years of age or older. (2)Be a resident of the state. (3)Have no criminal convictions or arrests aside from minor traffic violations. (4)Have A Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO) score of 620 or higher. (5)Not be identified on any national criminal registry, including, but not limited, the National Sex Offender Registry.
