RÉSUMÉ DIGEST ACT 355 (SB 398) 2020 Regular Session Foil Prior law allowed the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness to establish a registry of volunteers. Prior law allowed the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness to establish credentials and requirements for volunteers. New law retains prior law and sets all of the following qualifications for volunteers for cyber response and recovery efforts: (1)Be 18 years of age or older. (2)Be a resident of the state. (3)Have no criminal convictions or arrests aside from minor traffic violations. (4)Not be identified on any national criminal registry, including, but not limited, the National Sex Offender Registry. (5)Have a verifiable educational or professional background in information technology services or information security and assurance. Effective August 1, 2020. (Adds R.S. 29:735.4(E))
