Present law provides that the salary of the governor will be $130,000, payable monthly upon his own
warrant and that the salary of each statewide elected official, except the governor, will be $115,000,
payable monthly upon the statewide elected official's own warrant.
Proposed law retains present law and creates a prohibition on the receipt of any thing of economic
value by statewide elected officials for services rendered unrelated to the performance of their
official duties.
Proposed law provides that proposed law will have prospective application only.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
