Present constitution provides that the legislature may provide by law for student membership on the
Board of Regents and certain public postsecondary education management boards.
Proposed constitutional amendment authorizes the legislature to provide by law for the membership
of one student on the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Specifies submission of the amendment to the voters at the statewide election to be held on
November 3, 2020.
